[ well, after trial has ended and things have settled slightly, grune will... she's mostly just wandering around, really, which is fairly usual for her.
but she'll pause when she steps into the kitchen to see a familiar face. ]
Tamantha.
[ ...... that's actually a joke but it's truly hard to tell that grune is making one ]
[She's been through this song and dance before -- sharing memories that are best kept secret. Monday and Tuesday were an absolute shitshow in every way, and not for the first time does Tamamo think to stay in her bedroom.
But it will do her no good to hide when there are things to do, information to find... She does her absolute best to avoid people at every turn, but it's when she reaches the gardens--]
My...mirror...?
[She is stunned, glancing backwards in the direction of her room before very slowly stepping forward towards the ornate mirror that hangs on one of the walls. Even with her entire soul warning her of the danger, Tamamo still lifts her hand as if to touch it.]
[ well, tamamo probably thought she might be safe considering she's alone? surely it can't be that bad if she goes through a memory when she's the only one around.
except grune chooses that moment to turn the corner into the garden, and when she spots the familiar figure, she immediately walks over. ]
Tamamo has no chance to reply -- the barrier coils around them both before she can even move, and then the woman watches her precious mirror crumble into dust.
But when the fog around them clears, they appear to be in a festival instead of the gardens. The ground is dirty, the tents are crude, the weather is frosty, but the people are laughing and dancing to music and drink, while some others have split from the group, walking to a nearby temple.
Whosever perspective this is -- they follow the humans who disappear into the temple, talking quietly to themselves.
"I don't know why you humans bother. It's not as if I have control over the fate of your unborn child. Gods do not work that way."
It will be obvious in an instant: the voice belongs to Tamamo. And though it will be difficult to notice, given the first-person perspective, more than three tails swing back and forth. The normally teasing voice is detached and void of all emotion. On top of that, the humans who kneel in front of an altar do not seem to notice her, as if the fox talking to them is but a ghost.
The two humans -- a couple -- ask the altar for guidance, for prosperity, for a healthy child to love and nurture. The fox's tails twitch as if in agitation.
"I do not understand either of you. Always with these prayers. What happens to your child is no concern of mine."
A rather cold assessment coming from her. And still, the couple will pray at the altar until they have placed a small offering on top, and together they leave Tamamo standing there to stare at the gift. She drops her head, staring at the floor. The tips of nine, golden tails comes into view, illuminated in the darkness.
"I do not understand... you will likely both die in the winter. Your child will never know its parents, if it lives at all... Just how do humans continue to thrive like this...?"
Her voice is musing, wistful. Even sad. Tinged with a lonely jealousy.
"... Is that what love feels like, I wonder?"
-- And scene end with Tamamo pressing a hand to her temple, rubbing it. The barrier hasn't disappeared.]
[ it's not too surprising, since this isn't her first run in with these memories, but... she can't help but notice the change in demeanor between the tamantha next to her and the one in the vision.
were they praying to her? hm. there's a lot of questions, but--
she can't really ask them, because they plunge into another memory (ends at 46:07, the text if you can't watch the video. ]
[Wherever Grune is, Tamamo will find her, like a hound on a mission.
And she is just--
gonna cut straight to the chase here]
Grune-san, are you a Cockblocker? Just hurry up and say yes, please, so that we can cut to the chase. And then perhaps ask the same question of me so I can give you an answer.
[ anyway, some time after body announcement, grune is going to go looking for tamamo. she's still pressing a wet towel to her face for the burn, but there are more important things to take care of!! ]
[Looking pleasantly surprised by Grune's presence -- her timing is impeccable. Tamamo had made off with the container and is just ready to open it, interested in seeing for herself what Taako-san's last creation is]
I figure since we are the ones who found the container, we might as well open it before trial starts, yes?

I have been called much worse, so I'll accept it for now, neh~

You definitely shouldn't be called any worse.

[Tamamo still looks kinda pleased? Grune has that magic she guesses]
But I prefer your company to all of them, and will take your word for it.
